Your Chief Pilot-
Shawn Lamm is a FAA Certified Remote Pilot and Chief Pilot at West Texas Aerials. He is an avid aviation enthusiast who started his career with the United States Coast Guard where he led various search crews and marine law enforcement teams. While in the Coast Guard he was able to fly in both the HH-65 Dolphin as well as the HH-60 Jayhawk. After a successful career in the United States Coast Guard, he was honorably discharged.
Shortly after his discharge, Shawn quickly keyed into an existing opportunity and used the GI Bill to get a higher education. He graduated with an Associates in Arts from Cosumnes River College as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fresno.
After graduation, Shawn equipped himself with the requisite personal and interpersonal skills for a flourishing career in advertisement and salesmanship; and went into the commercial and industrial sector as an advertising and marketing Account Executive where he has spent more than a decade of his successful career.
He started his marketing and advertising career with “For Rent Media Solutions”, a nationwide media marketing partner established for providing apartment owners and management companies innovative solutions to drive leads, build branding, and promote resident retention. He was responsible for the development, design and creation of various print and video media utilized in the promotion and marketing of client brands. He successfully developed, designed and created marketing media and advertisement content to promote and market multi-million dollar properties and billion dollar portfolios leading to the growth of the company.
As a marketing executive, he worked with clients and videographers to create unique videos showcasing various aspects of their community ranging from indoors to outdoors, as well as staging lifestyle shots. He also successfully developed website video marketing content to promote various aspects of the client’s business. Through a perfect blend of cutting edge technology and years of professional experience, Shawn was able to deliver fascinating branding and promotional strategies to his various clients leading to successful market share growth and high customer satisfaction.
For continued career growth and development, Shawn left For Rent Media Solutions and joined RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company; the second largest tobacco company in United States as a Marketing Executive. Now working with local owners groups and national chain locations Shawn was tasked to launch, establish, and grow various existing tobacco products as well as launch new tobacco categories through marketing, media, and advertisement platforms. He was directly responsible for designing and creating displays, working on branding strategies and development, visual media branding and marketing, as well as designing, developing and implementing various marketing programs to not only grow the overall tobacco category but also to increase profits for local owners and national chain locations. From designing and implementing creative branding strategy required for promoting and growing various tobacco categories to working with clients and assisting them in building website traffic, Shawn ensured that clients are satisfied with the services they receive.
All through his career in the commercial sector, Shawn has been dedicated and committed to working with leading companies and engaging teams within different industries. He was able to perfectly combine his numerous years of professional experience with powerful interpersonal skill and relationship building as well as high discipline and principles towards achieving his objectives. Throughout his extensive career, he’s been recognized as a valued industry partner, and successful client advocate. His passion for business relationship management, and compassion for people show in all aspect of his actions.
In 2015, with a background in video marketing and advertisement, Shawn decided to turn his love for aviation into a business and started West Texas Aerials; an aerial services and video production company. As the founder and Chief Pilot of West Texas Aerials; Shawn is devoted to the effective blend of his years of professional experience in advertising and sales with the passion for aviation to ensure the success of the company.
In the bid to deliver the best services to his clients, Shawn has gathered highly trained and talented team of experts coupled with cutting edge UAV and drone technology.
